27 – 28 June 2019
Venue:
Best Western Hotel – Konak
Izmir, Turkey
Aim of the Workshop: |
The main purpose of this workshop is to develop policies to strengthen institutionalisation in the field of continuous education that will provide and support qualified human resources to meet the diversified and varied needs of the changing world. The second objective of the workshop is to increase co-operation on continuing education with EU countries and to link the national network with the EU Network on continuing education.
Europe 2020 strategy for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth acknowledges lifelong learning and skills development as key elements in response to the current economic crisis, to demographic ageing and to the broader economic and social strategy of the European Union. One of the important EU objectives for Education and Training 2020 is making the lifelong learning and mobility a reality. At the same time, Europe should focus on the contribution of education to the economic development of Europe through up-skilling of the labour force and integrating adult learning plans for economic development and innovation.
Europe’s future competitiveness depends on its ability to adapt to the future competency needs of companies and individuals and the ability of education and training systems to deliver services tailored to the needs of the labour market. This workshop will also contribute to the establishment of policies that will improve the institutional structure of continuing education and training for the development and support of the qualified human power.
